Click Close system for mascara packs is characterized by a minimal gap between cap and bottle, and provides a quick closure with accurate self alignment of the cap. A leak proof seal is built-in to minimise evaporation of contents.
The design features a new, single-thread cap which gives accurate front to front alignment of cap to bottle, thus guaranteeing that decoration will always line up.
The Click Close system has a soft click giving an impression of refined precision and the reassuring security of a positive seal. The cap sits neatly against the bottle shoulder leaving a minimum operating gap.
Inside the cap the thread part is moulded with a cone shape at the top which, when it comes into contact with the wiper plug situated in the neck of the bottle, creates a larger than average contact area. When the cap is in place this provides a primary seal which minimises evaporation of the mascara or other liquid cosmetic products.
With a thread pitch of 3 mm, closure of the pack is effected in less than a single turn of the cap, significantly speeding assembly and increasing ease of use.
The robust ramp and stop contours of the closure lugs enable filling lines to be run at high speed with no damage to the thread, cap or bottle, so reducing production cost.
